and so it goes - the cycle of life. we wax and we wain. we live and we die. and it all begins within the eyes of a small child.

and so it goes..
life, which always seems to undermined by adults, is one of the most beautiful gifts ever given to us. the way it moves us: through us, in us, around us... is quite extraordinary. i am envious of the life of a child, so innocent and beautiful. they have no worries, no preconceived notions of life or of love - they just live. you can see the life in their eyes. the energy that resides in their souls erupts from their depths like a bubbling spring, allowing us to dip our feet into a cool and refreshing stream of beauty, energy, and life. it feeds our dry and thirsty needs to know how beautiful we once thought life was when stress and anxiety were absent.

love is waiting.
in the autumn on the ground
b.e.t.w.e.e.n the traffic and the ordinary sounds
i am thinking signs and seasons while a north wind blows through
i watch as lovers p-a-s-s me by
walking stories - whos and hows and whys
musing lazily on {l.o.v.e}, pondering [you]
i'll give it time, give it space and be still for a spell
i'll be waiting for you, baby
i'll be holding back the darkest night...
love is waiting till we're ready, till it's right
...Love Is Waiting...

until fall.
it's 2:40 a.m. and i'm still wide awake.
tomorrow is my first day at camp war eagle and i'm honestly scared out of my mind. all of my relationships will be changing this summer, fluctuation to find their equilibrium in the time between spring and fall. today's shoot took my mind off of it though, even if it was just for a brief hour.
joy livers may have one of the best personalities in the world. for real. and i hope these pictures bring out her sultry/sexy self.. while still showing how beautiful she is on the inside.

someday soon.
I wanna be the one who knows everything about you
I wanna be the one who’s always on your mindI wanna be the one to get all of your affection and attention
You’re the one that I’ve been waiting for, for all this time
And I can’t imagine anything, anything better than
Someday falling in love with y.o.u.
Holding your hand
Making our plans all come true
Someday under a sky so blue
I’ll give you my heart ♥
Our story will start someday soon
Holding your hand

I’ll give you my heart ♥
Our story will start someday soon

i'd take another chance.. take a fall, take a shot for you..
the day began with bright rays of sunshine flooding over the water-logged fields of Manila. as i drove home from jonesboro, the building anticipation for the upcoming shoot with alyssa turned into full fledged excitement. although the clouds outside created an annoying overcast, the sun still managed to be my friend and give me some available lighting to work with. this summer will be sad: i will have no new posts (this may actually be my last post until august!) due to me working a camp in rogers, AR. oh well... i should have many more pictures by then :) here is a little sneak peak from alyssa's shoot.

the beginning.
today marked the day of a new season: summer. the wind caressed the blades of grass and carried all the worries and stress of the spring semester away. a lot has changed in the past year. i've started noticing the small things in life are the things that matter the most, and are typically what get me through the day. photography has developed into a burning passion... i wish i could capture all of the beautiful things in life, but there is not enough time in a lifetime to take that many frames. i thank God every day for giving me the ability to capture a fraction of His beauty, and i pray that He allows my abilities to grow and flourish for His glory.
portraits have become a favorite of mine. focus: the eyes. they are the windows to the soul.
